What if I am no longer with my employer? Do I need to move my funds?

If you are no longer with your employer, you must either transfer or withdraw your funds within 90 days of your termination date.

I have not yet enrolled in my company’s retirement plan. How do I get started?

Let your Human Resources team know that you want to be enrolled. They will submit your information to our platform. Once they've sent us your information, and once you have cleared any eligibility delays, you will receive an e-mail within 24 hours inviting you to onboard to the Plan.

Do my investments roll over from the relinquishing provider to my new Link account?

Your previous provider will liquidate your investments and will transfer out the cash amount to our Custodian. LINK will allocate the cash we receive from the transfer to your account at LINK.

How do I access my tax receipts, statements and other documents related to my plan?

How do I manage and review my contributions?

How may I perform a withdrawal?

  1. Go to another financial/investing institution.

  2. Sign transfer documents (T2033 and any other applicable documents) with the other institution.

  3. The account information for Link can be found on your Link dashboard by following the ‘Withdrawal’ steps but select ‘Transfer’.

  4. Ask the other institution to fax the transfer document(s) to +1 (403) 264-4378.

How do I withdraw from my Group Plan?

  1. Log into the LINK Platform.

  2. On the left-hand side navigation pane, choose ‘Money Movement’.

  3. On the top of this page, on the right hand side, click 'Create Request'

  4. Choose the plan you want to withdraw from.

  5. Choose a ‘Withdrawal’ Movement Type.

  6. Complete the form.

Note: The funds can be sent via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or mailed cheque.

Can I reset my questionnaire or portfolio?

After my contributions are deducted from payroll, when will I see the funds in LINK?

Typically, you can expect to see your contributions reflected in LINK within 24-48 business hours after payroll deductions are made, and your program administrator has submitted your plans contributions to LINK. Once deducted, the funds are transferred to a custodian account, where they are held for trading. Money movement processes are designed to be efficient and quick, but please note that weekends and holidays do not count as business days.

When are monthly statements available, and what information do they include?

Monthly statements are generated approximately two weeks after the end of each month. Statements will only reflect the contributions and transactions from the previous month.​

For example: The mid-December monthly statement run will only include information for your November contributions, not any December contributions.
